Auxilium College has been the dream of the Salesian of Auxilium Congregation who has been committed to the cause of education for 150 years. It is a minority Institution, established and administered by the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (FMA) commonly known as the Salesian Sisters of Don Bosco, belonging to the Catholic Church. The Salesian sisters of Don Bosco, driven by the thirst to empower women through education, founded the college as a result of their long-standing experience. This is the only women’s college in the village of Regunatahapuram.
The College firmly believes that education alone can empower women and make them self-reliant. Keeping this as the focus, the college strives to offer an education that transforms the learners to be physically, intellectually, spiritually, emotionally, socially, and morally healthy to face the challenges of the world of tomorrow. Salesians sisters extend the services towards the holistic development of the student community to make good and honest citizens. Auxilium College is a 15-year-old college. It is a 15 -year young college giving quality education. It is the only Self-finance College in Pudukkottai District Accredited with’ A’ Grade by NAAC.
Auxilium College creates leaders. A leader is a person who knows about himself or herself. The within is more important than the without. Yes, my friends, what is within you, inside you is very important. Look at the pencil. The inside stuff, the lead is important, and sharpening, sharpening, and spelling it out is important. We boast that 95% of our students are rural, first-generation students who grew up in Tamil medium rural set up in schools. But over the years we have done great things in this vicinity.
With a Salesian tradition and with the blessings of our sisters and illustrious professors and parents and students we have walked the untrodden path with hard work, sincerity, and a vow to transform the present society which is muddled with discrimination, inequality, and ignorance.
With a well-trained staff with the provision of urban facilities in the rural campus and with exposure to the social realities of the society we form leaders of transformation.
